To anyone considering trying something new....
When the kids were young and I was at home with them I became very aware of a real need and desire inside of me to be creative. Creating things opened up a whole new world of self discovery.
As a result over the years I have explored my ability and limitations through many creative avenues. Most of them were short-lived, but they each had a role to play and attribute to getting me to where I am today - I became more confident in my creative ability, it helped with my self-confidence and self-belief and it helped me to discover where my true interests and passion lay (paper flowers). It gave me a new purpose and subsequently a desire and drive to start my own business, 'The Paper Petal Company'.
I guess what I'm trying to say is don't be afraid to explore that inner feeling or voice calling you to action - It will only shout louder and for longer the more you ignore it. Instead I would recommend taking small steps to explore it and keep moving forward. Life is busy and we can't always stop and take action, but on the other hand life is short too, so why not take that first step and see where it leads. It may just lead you on a journey that opens up a whole new part of you that you never knew existed!
